About XPI

Xanodria Productions, Inc. is a Live Action Role Playing Corporation dedicated to providing our customers with the best in live action games. To that end, we currently run six full-weekend events per year, between March and October. As schedule and resources permit, we also occasionally run smaller games at East Coast conventions.

XPI was founded by a group of Penn State students who, after watching the movie Mazes and Monsters, decided that they could run more realistic live action games than the one portrayed in the movie (not to say that's a stretch!). With this inspiration, the founding members of XPI set about creating a live action role playing game without any information that other companies already existed that were doing the same thing. As a result, we developed a revolutionary game system unlike anything used at the time.

XPI held its first public game in the summer of 1991 on a country farm site in Kempton, PA. We now run our games at Olivet Blue Mountain near Hamburg, PA. Our familiarity with the land and our years of experience in running Medieval Fantasy games is evident in the quality of games that we produce.

Early in 1993, Xanodria Productions, Inc. held its first Horror game. Originally designed as a way to facilitate indoor gaming, Horror grew from an occasional wintertime event into a full fledged gaming system with a regular schedule of both summer and winter events.

A decision to focus our efforts on producing fewer, higher-quality events led XPI to shut down its Horror genre after a special wrap-up game in early 2002. As of 2007, work is well underway to explor a new Horror genre, using many of the same combat rules from our previous Horror genre but with a completely new skills and magic system and in a present-day setting.  Watch this site for more details as they become available.  Additionally, we are regularly looking at ideas for entirely new genres and Game settings.
